How GLP-1 jabs are reshaping consumer behaviour
– a Flume podcast

We’re excited to share our podcast –  The GLP-1 Revolution where we dive in to one of the most talked-about topics in the world of food and drink – the weight loss jab

In this podcast we chat together about:

1.How GLP-1 jabs are influencing consumer behaviour and choices

    2. The shift in eating habits, food choices and spending patterns

    3. What brands and marketers need to consider to support a fast-growing trend

Listen to our podcast here!

GLP-1 is not just a medical story, it represents a fundamental, long-term shift in how millions of users’ behaviour patterns are changing. At the heart of this, we see a genuine shift in consumers’ goals, and it is the reframing of these goals which is driving changes in behaviour. It is often the case that the emergence of new goals leads to the creation of new categories. How brands, retailers and food service providers move to meet these goals remains to be seen, but in our conversations with clients old and new, it’s clear that understanding and meeting these goals is on the agenda in many organisations.

If the podcast has whetted your appetite, and you’d like to hear more, get in touch (hello@flume.group ) – we’d love to chat!

Team Spotlights

In our next edition of Team Spotlights, we caught up with Olivia, our Senior Research Exec, to find out what she has been reading, listening to, and watching.

Reading
I’m more of a casual reader as of late, as I’m always listening to podcasts to be honest. However, I’m currently reading Grave Expectations by Alice Bell – a fun murder mystery! (Though it does feel a bit wrong putting the words ‘fun’ and ‘murder’ together.) It’s got that cosy, slightly ridiculous feel that I love.

Watching
Celebrity Traitors, of course (who isn’t)! Mixed in with some of this year’s Big Brother. I know, shameful – but in my defence, the regular-people version is much more interesting than its celebrity counterpart. In a way, I’m viewing it as a kind of ‘social experiment’… even if I’m mostly there for the drama.

Another show I’m getting back up to speed on is The Wheel of Time. I love anything in a fantasy setting, especially the ones with an interesting magic system – so this is right up my street.

Listening

Although I listen to a lot of different podcasts, I’m currently going through Enya’s back catalogue of music. My favourite song at the moment is Caribbean Blue – so dreamy and peaceful.

Other than that, my list of “to listen to” podcasts just keeps getting longer. I’ve usually got one on while I’m cooking, driving, or doing the food shop, so the queue is truly never-ending. At the moment, it’s quite a chaotic mix of comedy, mystery and my ongoing commitment to hundreds of hours worth of D&D campaigns…
